Contemporary music is a challenge for both audience and tradition. But couldn’t we easily do without it? We will discuss merits, resilience and productivity of contemporary art music with Hannes Kerschbaumer, an aspiring South Tyrolean composer. The talk will be accompanied by musical interruptions. Kerschbaumer’s own compositions will be performed live, as well as pieces written by other composers.

This year’s CASA_concert at the European Forum Alpbach 2018 takes place at the beautiful Schafalm directly above the so-called “meadow of thinkers”. Signs with the concert logo will indicate the way to the Schafalm starting from Hotel Böglerhof. After the talk & concert, South Tyrolean specialities will be served as refreshments.
